Sign the petition to restore funding to NZAF

To the Minister of Health,

The New Zealand AIDS Foundation has a vision of a world without HIV and AIDS. They work to prevent the transmission of HIV and provide support for people living with HIV, their partners and whānau. The Foundation is NZ’s leading health organisation for people living with HIV, gay men, other men who have sex with men and the African community.

Founded in 1985, the NZAF has grown from the response of Aotearoa New Zealand’s gay communities to the impending HIV epidemic. From its earliest days as a grassroots movement, the NZAF provides a New Zealand response to HIV, bringing history, passion, knowledge, and diversity to fight the emerging trends of the HIV epidemic.

However, the Government is slowly making it impossible for the NZAF to continue, despite its importance. Rising inflation and cost pressures mean this income doesn't go as far as it used to, and the Ministry of Health has not made any inflation adjustments to their income in many years. As a result, the organisation has been runnning in deficit; threatening the sustainability of the organisation.

Will you join us to call on the Minister of Health Dr Jonathan Coleman to unfreeze NZAF funding?
